The battle is real in this end-time thriller for the ages.

Welcome to Out of the Stack

Books, books, books - everywhere you look, piles and piles of books. As of the fourth quarter 2020, Amazon has over six million eBooks for sale! If you're an author like me, I am sure you have Googled dozens of publishers and book promotion/book marketing services since you started writing. For most of us, the high price along with outdated publishing methods leaves us with few options. So what are we supposed to do?

When I started in 2002, like many fledgling writers, I attempted to land a traditional publishing deal. I got very close several times, but no dice. After a year of that, desperate to get my book published, I paid a vanity press company $1,900 to publish my book. They didn’t edit it, format it, or design my cover, but they took a sizeable piece of my royalties. They merely threw it out there to die a painful death. Needless to say, I didn’t sell any books to speak of other than to friends and an occasional relative. My quarterly royalty checks averaged $3.47. Ouch!

Then came Amazon! I discovered CreateSpace in 2013 (now KDP - Kindle Direct Publishing), which was a game-changer. The results were amazing! My Hidden Thrones 9 book series, released from 2015 to 2022, has over 1,200 reviews and an overall rating of 4.8.

Over the last 20 years, I have learned much about publishing, marketing books, and book shepherding. Each of my series has enjoyed the honor of being #1 in the Christian Fiction/Fantasy category. I have been successful in maintaining positions among Amazon’s Best Sellers.

The two complaints I hear most from authors are:

1) If I'm paying for my book to be published, why should I have to share my royalties?

As authors, we work hard writing and re-writing, doing our best to make our books all they can be, only to pay a company upwards of $5,000 to publish it, then take the lion's share of our royalties.

Don't give your book away. No one cares more about your story than you do. Our professional service presents your story in the best light possible without breaking the bank. You pay for only what you need to produce your eBook and paperback. You keep all royalties while retaining full content rights.

We keep nothing. The cover, editing, and formatting are yours. You paid for it. You keep it.

You will receive a high-quality product. We professionally edit your manuscript, format for ebook and print edition, and design a knockout cover that will build your brand and pay dividends for years to come.  Out of the Stack provides the perfect balance of speed-to-market and a thorough, well-planned production, marketing, distribution, and execution strategy.

2) My book is not selling. How can I get readers to buy my book?

Relaunch your book!

Each situation is unique. There are many factors to consider.

Do you need a new cover? Is your book properly edited? How about your book description and blurbs? Are you in the proper genre/category? How about keywords?

Most of the time, the answer is advertising. There is no getting away from it. The competition is too great. You have invested too much time and money to watch your story die on the vine. Why stop halfway through the process? It is time to climb to the top of the mountain and blow the trumpet!

At Out of the Stack, we aim to keep your book in the eyes of potential readers while you receive the highest royalty possible. There is no substitute for advertising.

If your budget is tight, like most of us, invest what you can. Even a $50.00 ad once a month can keep you from falling back into the stack. Staying above the fray is paramount.

The last word.

There is no magic wand, only hard work. Out of the Stack can help you move up the ranks and get noticed. I know what works and what doesn’t. Contact us today, and let us help you get your book into the hands of hungry readers worldwide.
